Solar flux atlas from 296 to 1300 nm
|Statement||Robert L. Kurucz ... [et al.].|
A comprehensive model atom was developed for Si iiiiii using the most up-todate atomic data available so far. Based on the non-local thermodynamic equilibrium (NLTE) line formation for Si i, Si ii, and Si iii and high-resolution observed spectra, we determined the NLTE abundances for a sample of nine unevolved A9 to B3-type stars with well determined atmospheric parameters. Solar Flux atlas from to nm neutral Hydrogen (HI): Ca II Ca II. Hydrogen is much more abundant than Calcium. Why does the solar spectrum show such strong Ca II K line as compared to H-alpha? SSA Solar Ca II K versus Halpha Halpha is a .

However, the McMath-Pierce solar telescope on Kitt Peak, on rare occasions, has been operated with the image-forming mirror replaced by a flat to obtain solar flux spectra. One set of McMath-Pierce flux spectra has been reported on by Kurucz et al () for the spectral band to nm, not corrected for terrestrial absorption.
Here one can find a high resolution pictorial version of the spectrum of the Sun, created from a digital atlas observed with the Fourier Transform Spectrometer at the McMath-Pierce Solar Facility at Kitt Peak National Observatory, near Tucson, Arizona (`Solar Flux Atlas from to nm' by Robert L.
